Unexpected Turn and some scrapping.....

Looks like again we skirted this storm.. How this thing in the tropics works I will never ever know. Looks like Fay will try to follow in Charley's footsteps only she will be much weaker.. Thank goodness!!!

All this stress of hurricanes has made me scrap...

The first page I did for a sketch challenge over on MMFY...
The second was just a page I was looking to do for a while....just the perfect line. I am not sure where I saw this page idea, but it is very similar to someone else..

Getting WAY to close for comfort...

THIS IS STILL A BIG WAIT AND SEE GAME..Remember the 2004 season Hurricane Charley was expected to hit Tampa Bay and at the last second hit south and came thru the state up into Orlando....

according to TBO.com
Forecasters extended a hurricane watch north to Tarpon Springs (we are just a bit south of this) as Tropical Storm Fay grazed the southern coast of Cuba and headed on a path that could take the storm just west of Pinellas County as a hurricane.

The forecast track for the storm shifted Sunday afternoon to take Fay over the Gulf of Mexico west of the Tampa Bay area on Tuesday evening with winds near 85 mph and close enough to possibly bring hurricane force winds to the coast.

The change in track exposes the Tampa Bay area to more a more serious storm surge threat than if the storm crawled up the peninsula east of Tampa as earlier forecasts predicted.

In addition, the different track would put the Tampa Bay area on the eastern side of the storm, where the winds are strongest and extend farthest from the center.

On the latest track, Fay would likely pass about 30 miles west of Pinellas at roughly 8 p.m. on Tuesday after crossing Cuba and going west of the Keys.

That would expose much of Pinellas and coastal counties to the north to possible hurricane-force winds of 75 mph or higher, and from Sarasota County north to sustained tropical storm winds of more than 40 mph.

The hurricane center expects winds of about 40 mph to extend more than 100 miles from the storm's center about the time it heads by the Tampa Bay area.

Waiting Game...

this is the part I hate. Waiting to see where they go.....

off to clean the bathtub and then scrap....

So Happy!!!

When I left high school I received the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship that paid 75% of my tution. With the math and economics grades I got I unfortunately lost it about 2 years ago. Back in May I got something in the mail from FL DOE about reinstatement for the scholarship-I figured it was to late. Well yesterday I called to ask if there was a way to still get it. They told me this year was the last year to use it. I still have 26 available credit hours that will be paid.. well 75% of the hours will be paid. I only have 22 left!!! THANK YOU FLORIDA LOTTERY!!! Even though I don't play you...

this morning I got an email confirming that I had filled out all the paperwork online and i checked this morning to see that it looks like I was approved... Word here-think I am here, not exactly sure.... but that's a nice little pocket full of change if approved!!!

Yahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I've fallen in love...

with a new paper line for scrapbooking that is...

It is quite often that I fall for lines that just grab me. Making Memories Passport, Bella Journey collection from Bo Bunny and others in recent years...

I now have one that I think will produce some of the most amazing pages I'll create...

I'm usually not a big fan of this company. I have a few sheets here and there, but for some reason this line just grabbed me..

this paper in particular is one that I am in love with...

I have one layout done just no pic. yet that is so awesome, and another that is in the finishing stages w.o a picture. My pictures are back at my apartment so will have to add them later..

I'm also very excited by a line I haven't noticed in the past. Being the quote junkie that I am I am truly in love with the rub-ons from Daisy Bucket Designs.

here are a few I love:

oh and here is just one of the stamps:
